Cow Head
Special Events Committee
Along with the Lobster Festival, the Cow Head Special Events
Committee also sponsors the Cow Head Winter Carnival.
The Winter Carnival takes place in early March and includes outdoor
games, dart tournaments, dances, snow sculpturing, and other events
for youth and adults.
Town Council
of Cow Head
The Town Council of Cow Head sponsors the Winter Lights
Festival. This is a Christmas decorative Event, which
encourages the home owners and businesses in town to decorate their
properties in preparation for the festive Christmas Season.
Judging for the lighting is done by the municipal Winter Lights
Committee and the town's event is also judged by the national
organization, "Canadian Winter Lights Celebration". The
"Canadian Winter Lights Celebration" judges the Festival under the
following categories:
Theatre
Newfoundland & Labrador Summer Festival(TNL)
Each year for the months of June, July, August and September,
TNL offers a program of culture and entertainment. The program
features a series of drama productions, musical productions, and
more. These productions depict the culture of Newfoundland and
Labrador through historical and comedy drama, as well through
musical productions featuring musical instruments and songs of the
province.
